“Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much” Helen Keller
Through the efforts of our Volunteers we not only deliver a nutritious meal to our clients but the opportunity to make a difference in their lives. We chat and laugh with them, we know when they are feeling off colour or their condition has changed. We share in their joy about their family and sometimes just listen as they tell us about a sad event in their life.
We can only deliver “More than Just a Meal” through the generosity of our volunteers who come back day after day, week after week and often year after year.
We welcome people of all ages, and walks of life and are always eager to have new people join our team.
As a volunteer you choose how often you provide assistance, whether it’s daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly ... any assistance is greatly appreciated.
Our volunteers are teachers, doctors, university students, school students, business people, retirees and some corporations encourage their employees to volunteer. Volunteering is a great way to make a new circle of friends.
Our volunteers are dedicated to providing a quality, consistent and friendly service and we value and respect our clients for their previous contribution to our community.
Currently our longest serving volunteers have been with us for 47 years,
our oldest volunteer is 86
and our youngest volunteer is 18.
Going away?? No problems, just let us know and we’ll arrange someone to cover your roster.
